In Act 5, why does Romeo go to the Capulet tomb and what is the "fake" reason to go there?

Romeo goes to the Capulet tomb so he can die next to Juliet. He tells Balthazar he is going there to loot Juliet's body of a valuable ring. This is a really thin excuse, and Balthazar must be really afraid of Romeo to go along with it. If Romeo hadn't gone to the Capulet tomb, Paris wouldn't have died, and Juliet may not have died. She would have tried to kill herself at first, but Friar Lawrence might be able to stop her from doing so until she calmed down.

Romeo goes to the Capulet tomb to die with Juliet. His "fake" reason for going there is to acquire a valuable ring that she is wearing. Friar Lawrence, upon hearing the news that Romeo hadn't gotten the letter, tried to go to the tomb before Romeo would do something that he would regret. He was too late. When he got there both Paris and Romeo are dead, and Juliet kills herself shortly after.

Romeo goes to the tomb to die next to his wife, Juliet. The reason he gave to his page was that he wanted to get the expensive ring that Juliet was wearing.

To kill himself. He does not get Friar Lawrence's letter and goes to the tomb to lie with Juliet so they can be dead together. He tells the page that he goes to get a ring from Juliet, but that's just a lie to get to Juliet. He uses the poison he bought from the Apothecary.

Romeo goes to the Capulet tomb to see Juliet, and to die beside her. He tells Bathlasar that he needs to retrieve a ring he had given Juliet.

Romeo goes to the Capulet vault to die beside Juliet. Instead of confiding in Balthazar, Romeo tells the page that he is going to loot a ring from Juliet. There are a couple of reasons for the fake reason. One is that Romeo didn't want Balthazar to try to stop him from killing himself. Another is that if Romeo gave no reason, his page might get suspicious.

Romeo goes to the Capulet's tomb to die beside Juliet. Romeo tells Balthazar that he has to go get a ring from Juliet's hand. Balthazar is either very dumb, or very afraid of Romeo because this is a terrible excuse, and Romeo knows it himself.
